I believe that tutoring is a relationship. I am looking to work with motivated students who want to improve their skills and understanding as well as do well on homework, quizzes, and exams. My parents always prioritized education in our household and got help when needed. I want to offer that help to Canton/Plymouth area residents as well as worldwide through online Tutoring.
I started tutoring before the pandemic, when our kids were off at college, and I had more time to spend. My early tutoring was for GED students trying to complete their High School Equivalency Diploma, That part of my tutoring is the way I can best give back to the community by offering a helping hand.
With Middle and High School Students, we have the opportunity to turn math from a painful chore into an elegant way to express numerical concepts. Okay, we probably won't get that far, but instilling a love for math is always my goal. I am always happy to discuss your individual needs and expectations and put together a package of instruction that will serve your student well.
I find that in-person tutoring is significantly more effective, and I recommend it when feasible. My private tutoring will be generally in the Public Library or other appropriate locations. In-person tutoring can be individual, or for a small group. Individual tutoring will give the most attention to your student and will allow more specific tailoring of the instruction. Group sessions can also be very useful, especially when the students are all working on the same topic or homework.

Online tutoring does have some compromises, as attentiveness and interaction can be affected by the student's learning environment. These issues disappear with motivated and engaged students, though, and the ease, convenience, and afford

A Student's Education can be a family priority. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, etc. can provide tutoring as a stocking stuffer or buy an initial session to see if the student would like to continue.
The All Access Pass gets the highest priority for scheduling, as well as between-session help. Students can send individual problems for quick response, a video Homework Helper, or a 15-minute instant online session. Numbers may be limited depending on the tutor's capacity.
